From 4 June 2026, we will carry a new name: Scale. An important step.
Why we are changing
A survey revealed various opinions about retaining or changing the name. Honest, diverse opinions. One comment kept coming back: the name Schoups is simply difficult to work with in the three languages in which we are currently active Dutch, French, and English.
What Scale stands for
We sought a name that is short, powerful, modern, and immediately recognisable and that retains a clear link to Schoups. In Scale, the first two letters, the S and the C, are preserved. But Scale is much more than that:
• Growth and strategic strength. Schoups has grown into an office of a certain scale, and attracts cases of a scale we can be proud of.
• Customisation. Scale also stands for measure: the personal approach to human scale that characterises us.
• The right tone. Scale is also a scale: the basis of every piece of music, and thus sets the right tone in every file.
• Right in balance. It subtly refers to the scales of Lady Justice: the balanced consideration of facts, arguments, and evidence.
Moreover, it is an existing, universal word — not a fantasy name — that sounds smooth and is understood in Dutch, French, and English.
Our foundation remains
Our name changes, our foundations do not. Quality, commitment, and strong collaboration remain. Or as we like to summarise it: expertise meets care.
Discover the reveal
The new name was unveiled at a festive launch event. Relive the moment through the photos below. And to mark Scale’s online launch, we created a video in which dancers bring the rebranding to life.
