Your profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in Belgian Law.
- You have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience as a lawyer, preferably within the broader field of commercial law and/or corporate and commercial litigation.
- You have an excellent command of Dutch and a good command of French and English, both spoken and written.
- You are keen to work from our Antwerp or Brussels office. If you choose Brussels as your main office, occasional work from our Antwerp office will be part of the team collaboration.
- You have a strong interest in commercial law and dispute resolution and are motivated to further develop your expertise in these areas.
- You have strong legal and analytical skills and are able to translate complex legal issues into clear and pragmatic solutions for clients.
- You are able to work independently and take responsibility for your cases, while also valuing collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
- You are proactive, driven and client-focused, and you enjoy taking initiative.
- You are passionate about the legal profession and ambitious to continue developing as a lawyer.
What will you do?
You will handle commercial advisory and dispute resolution matters for businesses. You will draft and review commercial agreements and advise clients on contract law, distribution, commercial agency, franchising and other forms of commercial cooperation.
You will assist clients with contractual issues and disputes and contribute to court proceedings and negotiations. As you gain experience within the team, you will gradually take on greater responsibility for the day-to-day management of your cases and direct contact with clients.
In addition, you will keep up to date with relevant legal developments and contribute to the know-how and business development of the practice group.
