Joost van Riel is Counsel at Scale.
As part of the corporate M&A team, he has a strong focus on corporate law.
Joost has extensive experience in corporate structuring and restructuring files and advises directors and shareholders on their legal position in companies. He assists various clients (ranging from SME and large industrial enterprises to private equity funds) in setting up joint ventures, negotiating and drafting investment and shareholders’ agreements and in preparing the relevant corporate documentation in such matters.
He obtained his law degree at KU Leuven in 2013 and obtained an LLM in European Competition and Intellectual Property Law, at Université de Liège prior to joining the firm in 2014.
Joost is a member of the Bar of the province of Antwerp.
